This wheel-thrown and hand carved stoneware tumbler is glazed in a white glaze on the inside and the rim. The outside of the tumbler was dipped in white glaze, which was immediately wiped off, leaving only the glaze in the carved design behind. The bare clay of the tumbler took on a rich warm color during the firing as the flames danced around the pot and also melted in ash.
This one-of-a-kind bud vase has been fired to Cone 10 (2350℉) in a wood kiln at Chester Spring Studio in Historic Yellow Springs.
Each tumbler is 4″ tall and 3.25″ wide and can hold 10 oz.
All of our pottery is food safe.
Note: These tumblers are 2nd’s because the rim is not perfectly round as can be seen in the picture. However, the tumblers are fully functional.
UPDATE: The right tumbler in the first picture has sold. Only the left tumbler is still available.
